As DataFirst’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Jake Berg is responsible for all ongoing business operations, as well as the company’s technical and business strategies.
With 14 years of service consulting experience, Mr. Berg has a solid foundation on which to grow DataFirst. Since joining the organization in 2003, Mr. Berg has transformed DataFirst from an early-stage, medical image archive company to the premiere industry leader for Picture Archive and Communications (PACS) Data Migration and data management services.
In 2005, Mr. Berg accepted the position of Vice President of Sales, resulting in five consecutive years of double-digit annual growth. This allowed DataFirst to expand its market position substantially, diversify its product and service portfolios and ultimately position the company for larger opportunities.
In 2009 Mr. Berg was promoted to President/CEO. Under his directive, DataFirst experienced unprecedented growth and expansion into key markets. Specifically, Mr. Berg dramatically scaled the Technical, Implementation, Sales, and Marketing infrastructure, while diversifying DataFirst’s solution offerings and establishing partnerships with leading Healthcare IT organizations.
Executive Vice President
Mr. Jones is responsible for ensuring strategic and business plans are effectively implemented, and that the financial and operational objectives are set and attained through expanding international growth strategies and business partnerships.
Mr. Jones joined DataFirst in April 2011 with more than 22 years of experience in management and leadership roles in the healthcare and information services industries. Mr. Jones has a passion for developing and mentoring high performance teams and growing businesses in a healthy and sustainable fashion.
Prior to his role at DataFirst, Mr. Jones was the Director of Sales for Philips Healthcare where he managed the Cardiology Informatics vertical following Philips’ acquisition of Witt Biomedical in March 2006. During his leadership role at Witt Biomedical, Mr. Jones was responsible for growing revenues from $2.1 million in 1998 to more than $48 million in 2006.
Mr. Jones has also held various leadership positions with Stereotaxis and MedCath. Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech and recently completed the Advanced Executive Program from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.
