Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of healthcare IT projects involving enterprise imaging workflows, advanced DICOM routing, HL7 integration, workflow orchestration, and data migration initiatives. This role serves as the primary point of contact between DataFirst, customer stakeholders, implementation engineers, migration engineers, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of Silverback® Workflow Engine and Silverback® Migration Engine solutions.
All work is performed remotely through secure, HIPAA-compliant connections to customer environments, with occasional travel requirements of less than 10%.
The Project Manager is accountable for maintaining project schedules, managing scope, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are delivered within established timelines while meeting customer requirements and DataFirst delivery standards. This position requires strong project leadership, customer engagement skills, and the ability to manage complex technical projects involving PACS, RIS, EMR, DICOM, HL7, enterprise imaging, interoperability, workflow orchestration, and data migration environments.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables for implementation and migration projects.
- Coordinate all phases of project delivery from kickoff through testing, validation, production go-live, and project closure.
- Ensure projects are executed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with customer, business, and technical requirements.
- Track project progress across multiple concurrent engagements and proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and mitigation strategies.

Client and Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.

- Support implementation and migration teams during testing, cutover planning, production deployment, and stabilization activities.
Project Governance and Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, status reports, meeting notes, communication records, and project deliverables.
- Monitor project metrics and provide regular reporting to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Implement risk management processes and drive issue resolution activities.
- Ensure adherence to DataFirst methodologies, processes, quality standards, and delivery best practices.

Technical Environment Awareness
- Maintain a working knowledge of Silverback® Workflow Engine and Silverback® Migration Engine capabilities and deployment models.
- Understand customer environments, including PACS, RIS, EMR, VNA, DICOM, HL7, and enterprise imaging ecosystems.
- Coordinate with engineering teams on deployment readiness, infrastructure requirements, system integrations, and validation activities.
- Support project readiness assessments and production deployment planning.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in healthcare IT or a related technical environment.

The Implementation Engineer is responsible for the successful deployment, configuration, validation, and support of DataFirst’s Silverback® Workflow Engine (WFE) within healthcare customer environments. This role serves as the primary technical resource during implementation projects and works directly with customer IT teams, PACS administrators, clinical application teams, implementation partners, and DataFirst project personnel to ensure successful delivery of workflow orchestration and interoperability solutions.

The Implementation Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, validating, and supporting Silverback® Workflow Engine deployments that enable healthcare organizations to securely manage, route, integrate, and orchestrate imaging and clinical data across complex healthcare ecosystems.
This includes the implementation of advanced DICOM routing workflows, DICOM Tag Management profiles, Prior Prefetch workflows, Modality Worklist services, HL7 integrations, and enterprise interoperability initiatives.
